a family affair

All our coffee is roasted by our brother James, or as we call him Jal.

He's been working at the top of the speciality coffee game for the past 15 years.

He really knows his stuff.

We're very lucky to have him.

for the coffee geeks

Our 11:01 Wildish House Decaf Blend features seven different varietals of coffee that have all been grown in Peru.

It combines Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Mundo, Novo, Pache and Typica varietals

These coffees grow between 100m and 1800m above sea level.

Swiss Water Decaf

If you don't already know, Swiss Water Decaf is a chemical-free coffee decaffeination process that uses only water to remove caffeine from the beans.

By soaking the beans in water, the caffeine is gently extracted while preserving the coffee's natural flavour. The water is then filtered to remove the caffeine, and the now-decaffeinated coffee beans are reintroduced to the flavor-rich water, ensuring the coffee maintains its taste.

good decaf is rare

This decaf tastes great. Like, really great.

In fact, most people that try it say "it's the best decaf I've ever had".

And we agree.

Most decaf coffee either has no flavour, or a fairly unpleasant flavour. This one is delicious and tastes great with any brewing method.

Most importantly, it means we can drink great coffee all day and still sleep at night.

faq's

How should I brew it?

We think this coffee tastes great with any brewing method.

We drink it black in the morning and make it with a V60, Aeropress or Cafetière.

And when we get to the shop we drink it with milk in a Flat White.

We think it's delicious and we're pretty fussy about our coffee.

Don't believe us?

How much do I need?

A 250g bag of coffee will make:

  • 12-13 double espressos
  • 12 Pour overs
  • 16 Cups from an AeroPress
  • 6 Cafetières for two people

We would go through a 250g bag of coffee in a few days, but some people could make it last a week.

What do other people think about it?

We serve this coffee in our shop in Pateley Bridge and it gets some really great feedback.
